When you think of a villa, you generally think of a grand entrance. Thanks to this patio design, you can recreate the feel of that kind of elegance for your own home. Back yard or front, it definitely makes a bold and exciting statement!





Building The Patio...

  1. Establish layout and prep ground for concrete slab.

  2. Install forms.

  3. Place, tamp, and finish cement.

  4. Dig a footer 6" wide x 5" deep x 35' long on each side of concrete slab.

  5. Pour cement in footer.

  6. Install 3/8" rebar 32" apart down center of footer.

  7. Once concrete cures, remove forms.

  8. On each concrete footer, install 8x8x16 block, 35' long x 4 block high. Fill all cells with cement.

  9. Apply stucco over entire surface of both block walls.

  10. Install a 5' x 5' square of random size flagstone in the center of the concrete slab. Border the flagstone with a row of 6" x 12" white pavers.

  11. Install pattern size flagstone on remaining concrete slab.
