Building The Patio...

  1. Establish layout and prep ground for concrete slab.

  2. Dig out pond area.

  3. Pour slab at bottom of pond. Let cure for 24 hours.

  4. Install cement block pond walls. Fill cells with cement. Allow cement and mortar to cure for 2-3 days.

  5. Install 2x6 forms to the inside of pond block walls allowing 3-1/2 inches above top of block. (To make sure the 2x6 forms remain in place, cut them to fit tightly between the block walls. Also, place a spreader between the forms.)

  6. Pour, tamp, and finish concrete slab. Once concrete has cured, remove forms.

  7. Install brick curb.

  8. Once pond mortar and concrete has completely cured, coat the entire inside pond area with liquid pond sealer.

  9. Install pavers.
