Hot Tubs

After a long day, a hot tub is the perfect way for you to relax and feel refreshed. You'll feel as if your patio or sunroom is your own personal spa. Hot tubs are an investment which will pay off over and over in pleasure for you, your family and friends.

Placing your hot tub on the outdoor patio or in your sunroom offers a feeling of luxuriousness while being surrounded by nature. The view of your plants and garden fountain add to the wonderful experience. You'll most likely want to install your hot tub near your patio set so that those using the spa can converse with anyone not in the relaxing warm water.

Relax in Your Own Patio or Sunroom Hot Tub

Having one of your patio chairs near the hot tub spa allows you to place your towel or wrap close at hand so you can easily grab what you need when exiting the water.

When shopping for the right hot tub for your home, consider the space available on your patio or sunroom as well as locations which will allow easy installation of plumbing and easy access to a power source. Hot tubs are available to accommodate as few as four people or as many as twelve people, and range from compact models to large models with wide ledges on which to place drinks and snacks.

A hot tub requires a water testing kit so that the pH and bacterial levels in the water can be checked for safety. You'll also need certain chemicals such as chlorine in order to control algae and bacteria, much like the maintenance performed on a swimming pool. Provided regular checks are performed and the right chemicals added, it is easy to care for your hot tub. If you fail to perform these checks and maintenance, you can develop problems which require draining the hot tub and refilling with fresh water, adding a new mixture of chemicals. If you do not wish to use chemicals, ion systems are available which treat the water to ensure safety for those using the hot tub.

You'll want to have lots of towels available when enjoying your hot tub. After exiting the heated water, it is easy to become chilled, so everyone should wrap themselves in a thick towel to dry off and prevent possibly catching colds. Also, keeping the hot tub water temperature too hot and luxuriating too long in the hot water can actually raise the internal body temperature so follow the manufacturer's recommended setting for the heating of water.

There's just nothing as relaxing as sinking into warm water with massaging water jets after a long hard day. When not in use, you'll want to cover your hot tub with a quality hot tub cover to prevent debris getting into the water and causing extra cleaning chores. It is also very easy to fall asleep in the relaxing warm water, so be sure to be aware of the dangers of dozing off and sinking below the water level. If you are especially tired when entering the hot tub, it is simple enough to set an inexpensive kitchen timer for 10 minutes so that you do not possibly fall into a deep sleep and drown. You can always reset the timer for additional time in small increments to ensure your safety. Also, keep small children from having access to the hot tub unless carefully supervised since the shallow water can be deep enough to cover their heads and causing a drowning hazard.
